Research on the optimization of cold chain logistics distribution routes considering time-dependent networks and simultaneous pick-up and delivery from the perspective of sustainability
In today’s economic globalization, the cold chain logistics industry is a fundamental sector supporting the development of the national economy, with sustainable development and a people-oriented approach being crucial. This paper investigates the path optimization problem of cold chain logistics vehicles that simultaneously pick up and deliver goods within a time window, aiming to achieve sustainable development in real-world cold chain logistics distribution. Additionally, the paper takes into account the varying speeds of vehicles over time to more accurately simulate real-world traffic conditions. The objective of the mathematical model is to minimize the total cost, which includes economic, environmental, social, and equity costs. To address this problem, a Heuristic Cross Brainstorm Optimization Algorithm (HCBSO) has been selected, and strategies such as segment-based initial solution construction and heuristic crossover have been designed to enhance the algorithm’s performance. Furthermore, a departure time optimization strategy has been developed to avoid traffic congestion. The effectiveness of the model and algorithm has been verified through multiple sets of comparative tests. The test results indicate that the constructed model and designed algorithm can scientifically optimize departure times, plan vehicle routes to avoid traffic congestion, effectively reduce total costs, and promote the sustainable development of the cold chain logistics system.

With the development and progress of society, people have increasingly strict requirements for cold chain logistics. At present, there are still many deficiencies in the development of China's cold chain logistics industry, such as inconsistent industry standards, a shortage of professional cold chain logistics talents, and incomplete investment and construction of infrastructure and equipment. Due to these problems, enterprises cannot meet customer needs well and can only seek solutions and gradually optimize. Enterprises should discover problems through practical investigations and research, and then solve specific problems based on theoretical knowledge and practical experience. This article first introduces the research status of cold chain logistics at home and abroad and relevant theoretical knowledge of cold chain logistics distribution as theoretical support. Then, taking Company X, a cold chain logistics enterprise engaged in fresh products, as an example, it analyzes the entire cold chain logistics industry, studies the current situation of the enterprise's cold chain logistics distribution, and proposes practical and feasible optimization suggestions, providing reference for the development of the cold chain logistics industry.

Cold chain transportation refers to a logistics method that transports fresh, perishable, and perishable items from the place of production, processing or warehouse to the place of consumption under certain temperature conditions. As consumers have higher and higher requirements for food safety and quality, the cold chain logistics industry has also developed rapidly. However, the high cost of cold chain logistics, the difficulty of technology, the difficulty of ensuring service quality and other problems have also arisen, and how to optimize cold chain transportation has become a hot issue in the cold chain logistics industry. Cold chain transportation optimization refers to the premise of ensuring the quality and safety of goods, through reasonable transportation paths, transportation methods, temperature control and other measures, to minimize the cost of cold chain transportation, improve efficiency and service quality. In order to achieve the optimization of cold chain transportation, it is necessary to establish a reliable cold chain logistics distribution center to ensure the safety and quality of goods during transportation. In order to solve the problem of location selection of cold chain logistics distribution center, this paper first defines the service reliability and calculation method of cold chain distribution center. Then, the location model of the cold chain logistics distribution center and the trust domain optimization algorithm model were established. The model aims to minimize the total cost, while considering multiple factors such as transportation distance, temperature control, facility construction, etc., to ensure the reliability and operational efficiency of the cold chain logistics distribution center. Finally, this paper introduces an example for calculation to prove the feasibility and universality of the model in the location problem of cold chain logistics distribution center. Through the calculation of examples, it can be seen that the model can effectively reduce the cost of cold chain transportation and improve the service quality and efficiency of cold chain logistics distribution center. In summary, this paper proposes a reliable location model and trust domain optimization algorithm model for cold chain logistics distribution centers to solve the challenges faced by the cold chain logistics industry. This model can provide guidance for cold chain logistics companies to gain a greater advantage in a highly competitive market.

With the development of the economy, the demands for food quality have gradually increased. Cold chain as a temperature-controlled supply chain has emerged to ensure the fresh goods. In recent years, the establishment and improvement of the cold chain logistics, as complex system engineering, is very important. While the cold chain logistics system has been vigorously developing, the common problems we face include: selection of suitable location for cold chain distribution center as well as optimization of distribution route. In this paper, we mainly focus on how to optimize the cold chain logistics distribution for a fresh processing factory M. We propose the methods to optimize the cold chain logistics distribution for M based on linear programming model. First, we adopt location set covering problem (LSCP) to model the location problem of cold chain logistics distribution center for Factory M, and use zero-one programming to solve the distribution center location. Then, we use transshipment problem, which is one of the transportation problem, to model and solve the distribution route for M. Experiments are conducted on IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization platform, and the suitable plan of logistics distribution for Factory M is figured out at the end. The experiment result shows that the optimal solution using our optimization method can save about 15% of transportation cost compared to the result without any planning.

The rapid development of China's agricultural products e-commerce has led to an increasing demand for cold chain logistics as its offline activities. However, the development of cold chain logistics has not kept pace with the development of agricultural products e-commerce in recent years. This paper aims to study the linkage development of agricultural products e-commerce and cold chain logistics. Firstly, the current development status and future development trend indicators of agricultural products e-commerce and cold chain logistics distribution are selected. Agricultural products e-commerce includes 2 primary indicators: infrastructure and level of technological development, and market development potential, and cold chain logistics includes 3 primary indicators: quality of development, infrastructure and market development potential. Each primary indicators include 10 secondary indicators. Secondly, grey relational analysis (GRA) is used to study the development of agricultural products e-commerce and cold chain logistics distribution. The results found that from 2014 to 2018, the two subsystems showed a basic uncoordinated state; from 2019 to 2021, the two subsystems were in a basic coordinated state, but there was still a certain gap from coordination. Finally, the coupling mechanism between agricultural products e-commerce and cold chain logistics is constructed. The research in this paper gives certain suggestions for the development planning of cold chain logistics for agricultural products e-commerce. It improves the business efficiency and business value of cold chain logistics enterprises and enhances the consumption experience degree of agricultural products e-commerce customers.

With the level of science and technology, the logistics industry is paying more and more attention to sustainable development. However, the current cold chain logistics industry generally has problems such as backward refrigeration technology, irrational distribution management, and outdated equipment, which make its energy consumption serious and cause severe carbon emission effects on the environment. Optimizing the carbon emission structure of the cold chain logistics industry is the top priority for ensuring the sustainable development of the logistics industry. The circulation of fresh products is mainly through cold chain logistics. However, there are some problems of excessively high cost of the cold chain and easy disconnection during the cold transportation process in Chinese cold chain logistics, which severely restricts the development of Chinese cold chain logistics. Because of the perishability and strong timeliness of distribution of fresh products, inventory costs, penalties, and damage costs need to be considered. Because fresh products should utilize refrigerated transportation, it is also necessary to consider refrigerated costs during transportation and cold storage cost in distribution centers. Based on the goal of the lowest total cost, this paper constructs an integer programming model and analyzes cases. By comparing the simulation results of the genetic algorithm and the hybrid algorithm, it is concluded that the hybrid algorithm is more effective.

In real life, how to quickly and accurately plan the optimal path for cold chain logistics distribution in the complex traffic environment is one of the key issues in the cold chain logistics distribution vehicle operation system. Based on the classic ant colony algorithm, combined with the particularity of cold chain logistics distribution, considering the factors such as transportation cost, maximum vehicle load, distribution distance and traffic capacity of each road section, an optimal model of cold chain logistics distribution path planning based on the improved ant colony algorithm is established. On the basis of the classical ant colony algorithm, a cold chain logistics distribution path planning optimization model based on the improved ant colony algorithm is established. The model takes into account the special characteristics of cold chain logistics distribution in terms of transportation cost, maximum vehicle weight, distribution distance and access road capacity. In this paper, numerical simulation is performed with the help of MATLAB software to test the scientificity and rationality of the algorithm. The conclusion shows that the improved ant colony algorithm can get the distribution path suitable for the attributes of cold chain logistics and reduce the total transportation costs. The problem of selecting the optimal path of cold chain logistics distribution vehicles can be reasonably solved. This is conducive to improving the distribution efficiency of cold chain logistics and has strong practicality.

In the background of the post-epidemic era, the consumption demand and market scale of cold chain logistics in China are expanding, but there is still an obvious gap with developed countries. To complete the balance between the supply and demand for aquatic products and the rational allocation of logistics resources and promote the rapid development trend of aquatic product cold chain logistics, it is particularly important to forecast and analyze the demand for aquatic product cold chain logistics. This article selects six main factors that affect the demand for aquatic products in cold chain logistics, uses the traditional grey model and the grey-BP neural network model to simulate and predict the demand for aquatic products in cold chain logistics in China from 2012 to 2021, and compares and analyzes the simulation results. Generally speaking, the demand for aquatic products from Chinese residents is on the rise. In the simulation prediction process, the prediction error of the grey-BP neural network is reduced compared to the traditional grey model, and the processing ability of the nonlinear system is ideal. The results show that the grey-BP neural network model is an effective method to predict the demand for cold chain logistics of aquatic products. Finally, suggestions are made on the future development of aquatic cold chain logistics in the post-epidemic era from the economic, social, and environmental aspects, which provide valuable decision-making reference for the development of marine aquaculture enterprises and cold chain logistics industry.
