Abstract

The focus of this study is how to break through the traditional practices, and deeply explore the innovative application methods of Lingnan traditional elements into architectural design, so that Lingnan traditional elements can be subtly integrated into modern architectural design. It is hoped that this will be of certain practical guiding significance for the architects in applying Lingnan traditional elements in architectural design.

Introduction

The Lingnan architecture has occupied an extremely important position in the Lingnan area. It is unique in traditional Chinese architecture and has rich cultural connotations and values. There are rare substantive studies and cases that are innovative and groundbreaking in integrating Lingnan traditional elements into modern architectural design. The existing technology and design techniques can be combined to partially transform and innovate these Lingnan traditional elements, so that these Lingnan traditional elements can be naturally integrated into the architectural design, making it a new architectural expression element. The integration of Lingnan traditional elements into modern architectural design cannot be copied and pasted, and a variety of innovative methods should be sought. Pattern in which the word inside, circle outside, serves as a decoration on the wall, making the originally blank wall meaningful
