Abstract
This paper proposes an idea of dual-polarized ridge waveguide two-dimension phased array antenna, which is composed of horizontal and vertical polarization ridge waveguide linear slot antenna arrays alternately. In order to achieve two-dimensional beam scanning and reduce the devices and cost, the pitch direction of antenna array is scanned depending on the frequency with slow-wave line, the azimuth is scanned independently with T/R modules. The dual-polarization antenna array has 40×40 elements. By theoretical calculation, the pitch direction can be achieved ±30 degree scanning; the azimuth can be achieved ±45 degree scanning.
