Abstract
Abstract A study on the air-fuel ratio control system for the Wankel rotary engine was conducted, where the overall model of the engine was developed in MATLAB/Simulink based on the mean value model. The variable universe fuzzy integral composite control algorithm was applied to feedback control, and the construction and simulation of the control algorithm were completed in MATLAB/Simulink. The results indicate that compared to PID control, variable universe fuzzy control reduced the engine’s fuel injection error by 60.37% and 35.7% under steady-state and transient conditions, respectively. This demonstrates the favorable control effectiveness of variable universe fuzzy control in rotary engines, providing insights and methods for future research on rotary engine control systems.
