Abstract

‘Built city, planned city, virtual city: the city museum’ is the title of a day-long seminar held in Turin, Italy, on 22nd March 2011. It is also the name of an Italian research project reasserting the role of urban historians and the historical and humanistic disciplines in defining the scope and content of the city museum.
