Abstract
Deductions from Bruno Bettelheim's hypothesis of repression in kibbutz youth were tested, using personality measures chosen for their measurement of relevant self-reported behaviors. A comparison was made between kibbutz and moshav samples, and little support was found in the score patterns for the repression hypothesis.
