Abstract
Abstract In the following interview, Jacques Rancière discusses his political philosophy, explains central concepts of his thinking – such as equality – and positions himself in the field of contemporary political and social philosophy. For the first time ever, he comments at length on his complex relationship to the social sciences and thus gives an insight into a transformation of his thinking which at the moment situates the scenes of equality – and thus, politics – more in the domain of the visible than in the domain of the audible.
