Abstract

The disaster which took place in November 1999 in Venezuela was a major opportunity to pose the set of themes of the relationship between the psychologist’s representation, commitment and action. In this paper, the author gathers the reflections from a first analytical approach of present intervention by professional psychologists in their context, who favour either technical activity, or transformation of social reality. Last, the author offers a holistic vision in a psychosocial perspective.
