Abstract

We characterize ideals on N for which the ideal limit function is representable as an intersection (union resp.) of matrix summability methods. More specifically, we characterize ideals I for which there is a family M of matrices such that a sequence x is I-convergent to L ⇔ x is A-summable to L for every (some resp.) A∈M. We consider separately cases of all sequences and bounded sequences. We also consider I⁎-convergence.
