Abstract
The 63rd Annual Meeting of the Section on Surgery (SoSu) of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) was held in Boston, Massachusetts, October 14 to 16, 2011. Because it has been a long-standing tradition, the meeting opened on Friday, October 14th, with the 32nd Annual Pediatric Surgery Residents' Conference, sponsored by the faculty of the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The executive committee of the section under the leadership of Dr Robert Shamberger met the same day and discussed topics including SoSu membership, the status of the Surgical Advisory Panel at the AAP, and the surgical curriculum for pediatric residents.
