Abstract

Background: Late complications after primary repair of acute type A dissection are related to aneurysmal progression proximal or distal to the prosthetic repair, to the development of false aneurysms, to enlargement of the perfused false lumen, and to infection. We report outcomes of reoperations of the ascending aorta and aortic arch using deep hypothermic circulatory arrest.
