Abstract
Remote iliac artery endarterectomy (RIAE) as a technique to restore patency of the iliac arteries has been disputed. In contrast, iliac artery bypass is a reference standard treatment of iliac artery TASC C and D lesions. However, bypass procedures result in more morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to evaluate the long-term outcomes of RIAE and compare them with those after iliac artery bypass (IAB).
