Abstract
The purpose of this research is to describe and explain the religious value in the Malangan’s puppet script of Sesaji Rajasoya story. This Study applied the descriptive qualitative method. The sampling technique took purposive sampling. The research data were drawn from the data source of the Malangan’s puppet script with the Sesaji Rajasoya story. The data collection employed content analysis techniques by evaluating several character dialogs and prolog that represent the religious value. The data analysis technique implemented the Miles & Huberman interactive model. The results show that the religious values in the Malangan’s puppet script of Sesaji Rajasoya story include: 1) believe in the power of God; 2) awareness to repent; 3) devoted to religion and the state; 4) the power of faith in God; 5) remind each other in positive terms; and 6) willing and accepting.
