Abstract

The design of a low cost digital controller for a gas governing application is described. The hardware architecture includes triplicated microprocessors and memory coding. Software exception handling routines provide coverage for environmentally induced faults. The design is capable of supporting communications routines allowing for remote monitoring and control of the system.
