Abstract

Binary solid-liquid phase diagrams of halides with a common anion and a known mixing energy of the components in melt are analyzed by the regular solution model. The solid-liquid phase diagrams of eutectic systems with a negative mixing energy of molten components (i.e., systems with complex formation in melt) are satisfactorily fitted by this model.
