Abstract
This Paper aims to raise awareness, and provide information and ideas to encourage the creation, uptake and expansion of pro bono work across regional, rural and remote (RRR) Australia. In particular, it focuses on providing pro bono assistance to disadvantaged communities by working in partnerships with community legal centres (CLCs) in RRR areas. The last decade has seen a significant growth of pro bono through structured and organised pro bono programs. Much of that work, however, appears to take place in metropolitan areas. Accepting that there are barriers to providing pro bono assistance to disadvantaged and marginalized communities in RRR areas, there is clearly a need to explore more effective or innovative ways to make pro bono resources available in RRR areas.
