Abstract
Specific features of light refraction on the surface of plates of uniaxial crystals are considered. A method of calculating birefringence in the protection crystalline windows under oblique incidence is developed. The possibility of refracting on the surface of the plate for oblique incidence of the ray without further splitting into ordinary and extraordinary rays is shown.
