Abstract

The paper sketches the planning of the Royal Botanic Garden at Tel Al Rumman. This has been not only a personal struggle for the author, but also the result of a remarkable public campaign in Jordan, which contains many lessons. With the threat of climate change and increased rate of biodiversity loss it has become imperative that we reverse the situation if we are to live a life of dignity. The RBG Jordan is one concentrated effort to achieve a new balance.
