Abstract
In most DCM type emitters, concentration quen-ching due to excimer and exciplex formation dramaticallyreduces EL performance. Among those, 4-(dicyanomethyl-ene)-2-tert-butyl-6-(1,1,7,7-tetramethyljulolidyl-9-enyl)-4 H-pyran (DCJTB) represents one of the most efficient fluore-scent red emitting materials for OLEDs. In DCJTB, thebulky substituents such as four methyl groups on julolidinemoiety and tert-butyl group on pyran moiety of DCM back-bone are incorporated to prevent concentration quenchingbetween the emitting materials, which lead to the improvedEL efficiencies of devices using them.
