Abstract

AbstractThis paper describes the case of a 14‐year‐old mare suffering from recurrent oesophageal obstruction caused by tracheal ring deformity. The anomaly provoking proximal oesophagus entrapment was characterised by a protrusion of the dorsal extremities of the cartilage rings, further diagnosed by computed tomography. Tracheal ring deformity should be considered as a rare cause of recurrent oesophageal obstruction.
