Abstract

Recurrent erythema multiforme (EM), an uncommon disorder, becomes disabling in some patients because of frequent recurrences over many years. To better evaluate precipitating events for the disorder and its response to treatment, these authors studied 65 patients with recurrent EM. The mean age of onset was 29 years, the mean number of attacks per year was 6, (range, 2 to 24), and the mean duration of disease was 9 1/2 years (range, 2 to 36). …
