Abstract

Objective To explore the reconstruction of anterior chamber of shallow anterior chamber after anti-glaucoma surgery. Methods Among 17 eyes of anti-glaucoma surgery postoperatively, 7 eyes with detachment of choroid, 5 eyes were performed suprachoroidal fluid drain out and anterior chamber air injection, 1 eye received phacoemulsification combining with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation; 1 eye with suprachoroidal fluid draining out and phacoemulsification combining with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation and anterior vitrectomy.Of 9 eyes had malignant glaucoma, 1 eye was to draw out aqueous in vitreous pool combining with injecting air into anterior chamber; 3 eyes following cataract extraction and posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation, anterior vitrectomy combined with primary capsulectomy, go-niosynechialysis combined with trabeculectomy; 1 eye with anterior vitrectomy surgery in the presence of suprachoroidal expulsive hemorrhage underwent draining out suprachoroidal fluid. One eye which underwent combined anterior vitrectomy and injecting air into anterior chamber was failed, and then had a successful outcome following phacoemulsification and implantation of posterior chamber intraocular lens, goniosynechialy-sis and capsulectomy. Two eyes following cataract extraction and implantation of posterior chamber intraocular lens, anterior vitrectomy combined with primary capsulectomy, goniosynechialysis were successful. One eye with silicone was done to be given combining with peripheral iridectomy trabeculectomy and injecting air into anterior chamber. Results The average time of anterior chamber regained its normal depth with detachment of choroid and aqueous in vitreous pool drained out combining with anterior chamber air injection was 5.6 days. The average time with malignant glaucoma following cataract extraction and implantation of posterior chamber intraocular lens, anterior vitrectomy combined with primary capsulectomy, goniosynechialysis was 1.1 days. Conclusions Phacoemulsification and implantation of posterior chamber intraocular lens, anterior vitrectomy combined with primary capsulectomy, goniosynechialysis is successful in malignant glaucoma.
