Click to increase image sizeClick to decrease image size Additional informationNotes on contributorsSusanne Stoll-kleemannSusanne Stoll-Kleemann is project leader and senior researcher fellow in the Global Change and Social Systems Department of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Germany. Her research focuses on evaluation of participatory strategies in biodiversity management. She serves as manager and project leader of the “BEAR” project, which addresses the relationship between society and biodiversity. She won The Chorafas Foundation's 1998 prize in Environment and Sociology for her Ph.D. dissertation on protected areas in Germany. She has written other articles based on her research on partnerships in biodiversity protection, landscape ecology, environmental psychology, and social perspectives of climate change. She is currently continuing her analysis of inclusive approaches to biodiversity management in South Africa and Germany. The author can be contacted at susanne. stoll@pik-potsdam.de.
