Abstract

Hydrogen surface coverage (ΘH) is calculated for iron electrode as a function of tetrabutylammonium cations surface coverage and the hydrogen concentration in the metal (CH). It is shown that the effect of the organic corrosion inhibitor on the iron dissolution rate is due to the increase in the ΘH / CH ratio.
