Abstract

A real-time weld quality monitoring system has been developed and successfully tested. In this new monitoring system, sensors are placed in the vicinity of the reaction area to capture the weld signatures. The presence and the timing of certain signals indicate the progressive stages of welding and the weld quality.A real-time weld quality monitoring system has been developed and successfully tested.
