Abstract

Lookup-table method is usually used to improve the speed of panorama unrolling to avoid time-consuming calculation,but it strongly requires space for storage.Therefore,a method called block prefetch was put forward.In order to lower the accessing cost and fastern the lookup-table unrolling,a target image can be divided with its corresponding lookup-table and source image into blocks,and then it can be unrolled in DSP's on-chip memory by the prefetched blocks.Experiments indicate that the method makes the unrolling achieve a level of 97 frames per second,when dealing with 1 024×768 source image to 1 152×256 target image.It is 20 times faster than a lookup-table panorama unrolling without block prefetch.
