Abstract

Currently, the realization of Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) implementation in the German banking industry varies, whereas some banks are in the adoption phase and others are already in the SOA operations phase. This paper focuses on specific implications concerning the SOA readiness and the SOA maturity of German banks as well as the role of SOA in the context of M&A scenarios. In particular, key findings of the SOA readiness and maturity case study within the German banking industry are presented and discussed.
