Abstract
The reactions of 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone (DCNQ) with 3-piperidine methanol and piperonyl amine were carried out and N-substituted quinone derivatives were obtained. Then N-substituted derivatives were treated with some thio nucleophile to synthesize N,S-substituted compounds. The structures of all compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, Mass spectroscopy) and microanalysis. The absorption behaviors of novel compounds were investigated with UV–Vis spectroscopy in different solutions such as ethanol and chloroform.
