Abstract
The reaction of ethyl diazoacetate with allylamine by the action of low-valence copper and rhodium complexes is accompanied by structural isomerization of the unsaturated hydrocarbon chain and the insertion of ethoxycarbonylcarbene into the C-H allylic bonds with the formation of ethyl esters of unsaturated amino acids.
