Abstract
To use the previous method of producing a square beam current wave form from a SAMES 150 kV accelerator for reactor physics transfer function studies by prompt fission gamma rays, it has been modified to switch the oscillator high tension more effectively and the beam pulsing much more reliable. In addition, using a stabilised power supply instead of the simple LC smoothed supply original to the SAMES led to much more uniform beam currents during the on half of the cycle, particularly at lower frequencies.
