Abstract

Catalyst systems for intramolecular hydroamination are well developed; in contrast, the intermolecular hydroamination is difficult to achieve due to the competition between weakly coordinating alkenes and strongly coordinating amines. The authors previously used rare earth metal catalysts in intramolecular hydroamination (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2006, 128, 3748), and these systems were extended to an intermolecular hydroamination in this report.
