Abstract

Perdana Ketapang Hotel is one of the hotels that was established in 1993 on Merdeka Utara No. 112 Delta Pawan Ketapang Regency and is a hotel that continues to strive to improve services and develop hotel quality standards. Room reservation system in Perdana Ketapang Hotel is still done by coming directly to the hotel, as well as the lack of promotion so that the guests at the Perdana Ketapang hotel have not been crowded. therefore, this hotel requires an information system design in the form of a web-based room reservation system so that it is more efficient and can be one of the media for promotion at the Perdana Ketapang hotel. In this study, the author uses a form of case study research, while the research method used is research and development methods or better known as Research and Development. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The software design model used is the development method of the Waterfall system which consists of communication, planning, modeling, construction up to the deployment process. to model a web-based hotel reservation information system, the author uses Unifield Modeling Language (UML). as for the system design process the author uses the programming language Personal Home Page (PHP) and MySQL database. In this study the authors produced an information system design in the form of a web-based hotel room reservation system that can be used to assist the hotel reservation process and as a promotional media according to the problems in the Perdana Ketapang Hotel.
