Abstract

We investigated the role fo the states near the Fermi surface for phonon Raman scattering in the superconducting cuprates. These states can be important for the Raman intensity within the frozen-phonon approximation. This effect, however, is absent within the perturbative approach. The discrepancy becomes very large in the case of resonant Raman scattering.
