Abstract
The status of experimental and theoretical studies of the position of the quasifree cross-section maximum in the A(e, e′) reaction is discussed. The dependence of the shift of the maximum relative to the elastic eN-scattering on the kinematic conditions of measurements is considered. The possibilities of using the data for the selection of realistic models of nucleon-nucleon interaction and dynamic short-range correlations in nuclei, as well as for determining the parameters of the nucleon-nucleus potential and the nucleon effective mass, are analyzed.
