Abstract
Let B be a linear closed densely defined operator on a Banach space having no resolvent in general. The paper studies the Cauchy-type problem for the evolutionary fractional-order equation D α Bu(t), t > 0, where 0 < α ≤ 1, D α u(t) is the Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative of order α.
