Abstract

The double-differential cross sections for J / Ψ production in the kinematic range of p T < 14 GeV , 1.5 < y < 4.0 and − 5.0 < y < − 2.5 in proton–lead collisions at a center-of-mass energy of s NN = 5.02 TeV have been measured by the LHCb Collaboration. The results are subsequently used to determine the nuclear modification factor, and are found to be consistent with most theoretical models. The forward–backward asymmetry has also been determined from these data, and is found to be compatible with theoretical calculations as well.
