Abstract

Quantum phases of two-component bosons in a 2D square lattice are studied within the extended Bose-Hubbard model. By using the inhomogeneous Gutzwiller mean-field method, we identified the density-wave as well as supersolid phases which have different average particles fillings in each component. Phases separation occurs in some parameter regimes, including on-site and nearest neighbor interactions within one component or between two components.
