Abstract

The photothermomagnetic effect (PTME) in two-dimensional (2D) electron gas at block boundaries in n-Hg 1−xCd xTe single crystals has been investigated. Photothermomagnetic power (V PTM) oscillations caused by quantization of the 2D electron spectrum in magnetic field have been found. It is shown that oscillations of V PTMare determined by oscillations of the derivative of the electron gas density of states in a magnetic field, ∂δ ∂ε F (ε F is the Fermi energy of the 2D gas).
