Abstract
AbstractMethods are described in this paper for the quantitative determination of three antioxidants in vulcanised rubber. The antioxidants are extracted from the rubber compound, separated by partition chromatography on completely acetylated filter paper and determined colorimetrically by appropriate colour reactions.ρ‐(ρ′‐Tolylsulphonylamino)phenyl‐ρ‐toluidine is oxidised by means of a substituted benzoylperoxide. Both the other antioxidants are coupled with diazotized sulphanilic acid.
