Abstract

The Care Quality Commission was set the task of bringing adult social care, NHS and independent healthcare services under the same regulatory umbrella. After two busy years, Cynthia Bower examines certain aspects of the commission's role and welcomes a new development that will amplify the voices of people who rely on care services.
