Abstract
Network based on virtualization technology is the main evolution trend of next generation network. The issue of allocating network resources in network virtualization environment is a key technical problem, known as virtual network embedding (VNE). Existing embedding algorithms just focus on fulfilling virtual resource demands while mapping requested virtual networks (VNs). Little research concentrates on fulfilling the quality of service (QoS) demand of each requested VN. Concrete QoS demand for VNE has not been proposed yet. Not to mention optimizing VN QoS performance. On these backgrounds, we jointly conduct a research on the resource and QoS VNE. At first, we formulate the problem model. A novel QoS metric for VNE is included. Then, we propose an appropriate mapping algorithmVReQOS, with the assistance of VN QoS demand. Finally, we condcut the simulation experiments to validate our VReQOS algorithm efficiency. We select multiple conventional algorithms for comparison. Main experiment results are plotted and discussed.
