Abstract
Background/Objectives: The „Development of a European Measure of Best Practice for People with Longer Term Mental Illness in Institutional Care“ (DEMoBinc) project was a collaboration between 11 centres in 10 European countries of varying levels of deinstitutionalisation and mental health service provision. This presentation aims to discuss the Polish experience in the development and implementation of the „Quality Indicator for Rehabilitative Care“ (QuIRC) and to provide a preliminary assessment of care standards in longer-term mental health institutions.
