Abstract

(Abstracted from Obstet Gynecol 2022;140:305–310) Women of childbearing age are disproportionately affected by sexually transmitted infections (STIs), which lead to pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility, and have other serious implications. Sexual partners of patients diagnosed with gonorrheal or chlamydial infections are at high risk of STIs.
