Abstract

In line with the developments of quality revolution, educationalists have started to explore the sustainability of engineering education. In this paper, the method of applying 'Total Productive Maintenance' (TPM) in engineering education is appraised. Meanwhile some researchers have claimed that engineering education has failed to deliver the outputs expected by the customers. In this context, this paper highlights proposition to use Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for improving quality of engineering education. In order to reap the synergic power of QFD and TPM, a model named as 'Maintenance Quality Function Deployment' has been proposed and its receptivity has been explored.
