Abstract
PURPOSE: In order improve the qualities of diagnosis and treatment for respiratory diseases, Shanghai Clinical Quality Control Center for Respiratory Diseases (SQCRD) was set up in 2004. SQCRD was enpowered to make guideline, held training course and inspect the clinical work for respiratory diseases in 58 hospitals in Shanghai, and serves as a platform to improve the qualities for diagnosis and treatment of chronic airway diseases. To improve qualities of diagnosis and treatment for asthma and COPD based on the guidelines of Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Diseases (GOLD) in Shanghai.
