Abstract

In MANET routing algorithm is challenging, due to its routing overhead and random change in its topology. Nodes require better routing protocols to minimize the energy utilization and to improve the life time of network. Efficient energy consumption means having higher efficiency at nodes and it increases the lifetime of network in which certain parameters performance level is high. This paper mainly focus on Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV), Destination Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV) routing protocol and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and their QoS parameters like throughput, E2E delay, transmission rate and packet delivery ratio. To get better performance of the network we proposed an Efficient Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (EAODV). The evaluation is done in NS2 environment and the simulation show that EAODV is better performer compared to AODV, DSDV and DSR and also comparing with some other parameters, results show that EAODV is better performer than existing routing protocols.
