Abstract

The mode of occurrence, and chemical and physical properties including x-ray diffraction data of pumpellyite in the eastern part of the Kantô mountainland are described (Table 1, 2 and 3). The mineral is not found in the part of spotted crystalline schists with albite porphyroblasts developing in the lowest horizone of the Palaeozoics and their metamorphic facies in this district.
