Abstract

This paper presents results from part of a much wider study of needs addressing the issue of developing specialist services in adolescent forensic psychiatry. It surveys a population of both child and adolescent consultant psychiatrists and forensic psychiatrists. It explores their views on the need for such a service by enquiring about current workloads and asking about future expectations from such a service. The results answer questions of perceived need and ideas on how the service should be set up.
