Abstract
O texto apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa etnográfica realizada em uma escola de ensino médio, que objetivou analisar como ocorre o processo de recontextualização de uma política curricular. Os dados são discutidos tomando como base alguns conceitos propostos pelo sociólogo Basil Bernstein e apontam as contribuições deste autor para o entendimento da prática pedagógica no interior da sala de aula..
