Abstract

Purpose: Adolescent health is increasingly recognized as an important field globally, including in resource-limited settings. However, education around adolescent development and health care needs for health care workers (HCWs) has lagged behind other pediatric training. Other potential barriers to care are HCW attitudes toward adolescents, particularly if HCWs express judgment or condemnation.
